For almost 450 years Leiden has been challenging people to get the best out of themselves; to use their unique talents to create a better world. This applied to the great minds of the past and it also applies to the talented individuals of today and tomorrow.

But talent and determination are not enough.  The world is facing major challenges, and researchers must be given the opportunity to develop sustainable solutions.
