About the fund

Leiden University Fund (LUF) was established in 1890 as an independent foundation to further the success of Leiden University.

We provide grants that finance projects conducted by Leiden University researchers, and we subsidise the appointment of LUF Professors. Students can apply for grants in support of activities that enhance their studies. In addition, LUF supports continued interaction between alumni and the university.
