LUF Praesidium Libertatis Grant
The Praesidium Libertatis Grant of € 75.000,- is awarded to a young talented researcher, who is able to (further) develop innovative and original research ideas. The grant is also meant to be a first step towards larger grants. Applications will be assessed by the LUF Committee for Academic Expenditure (CWB).
The next round is in the spring of 2026. The conditions and application procedure will be similar to those of 2024 (see the tile on the right side of this page (or below on your phone) for the conditions and application procedure).
Per faculty two applications may be submitted, so there is a pre-selection. Each faculty has a contact person, who coordinates this process.

Final report
You must submit a final report for your project within two months of the project’s completion via the final report form for this. The final report should contain a number of elements, which can be attached to the form:
- a list of expenses (please use the expense form)
- a descriptive report
- photos of the project
See the Criteria final report to find out what you need to include in your descriptive report. The final report will determine the exact sum that is disbursed and will allow the LUF to show donors and potential donors what their support has made possible. The report and photos will become the property of the LUF and may be used for publication purposes.
